The UK Is Set To Finally Legalise Electric Scooters | Buy Electric Scooters UK

The UK is set to finally legalise electric scooters.

After years as a closed market, thousands of e-scooters  are set to hit British streets in the coming weeks.

The Government announced, “ E-scooters offer the potential for fast, clean and inexpensive travel that can also help ease the burden on transport networks and allow for social distancing,” and has set about amending existing laws, regulating e-scooters.

Greener, cleaner options of transport have been a real priority in a bid to maintain the improved air quality that we’ve experienced throughout the UK’s lockdown period. Not to mention, that the Government has been striving to find an alternative to public transport since the Covid-19 pandemic took hold in the UK. =

As the number of electric scooter users increases so does the number of benefits they offer. We all know they’re environmentally friendly, save you time, cost-effective, and lots of fun, but have you considered the other benefits they boast?

Here are our top five reasons you should buy an electric scooter

1) Best alternate mode of transportation

Needless to say that electric scooters are cheap, they are best when it comes to choosing alternative mode of transportation. You don't have to depend upon fuel as these scooters run on battery.

2) E-scooters Improve Body Balance

Balancing your body may sound like a pretty basic skill, however riding an e-scooter will help you develop this further at no real effort. Body balance is incredibly important in terms of the ease in which you’ll find moving about. Better body balance = extra mobility skills. Riding an e-scooter alone, even without performing stunts or with excessive speed, will be great for improving your sense of balance. This proves extremely beneficial for those of us who are a bit more on the clumsy side.

3) Mobility For People With Health Issues

Electric scooters have been praised across the world for the increased mobility they offer those with health issues. In countries like New Zealand where electric scooters are a preferred way to commute, they’ve been applauded for being a great car replacement for people who have disabilities preventing them from driving. They’re preferred to bikes as an e-scooter won’t wear the rider out from pedalling. When walking isn’t an option and public transport can be difficult, more and more people are opting for the health benefits and convenience of an electric scooter.

4) Change Perspective - Take Control

Being on your electric scooter will also give you a new perspective. Once you start, the exhilarating thrill of riding your new electric scooter can take you to new places you wouldn’t usually visit. Because of their compact design and small size, these scooters can be parked in a small space. Alternatively, you can carry an electric scooter with you, instead of parking.

E-scooters are a no-sweat, convenient way of reaching your destination

Electric scooters were made for shorter distances and cruising along city streets. With ranges anywhere between 10 and 30 miles, e-scooters go hand in hand with commuting and are perfect for getting you from your door to public transport and vice versa.

Super lightweight and portable, e-scooters are much easier to carry onto public transport or into the office than bikes, since their compact form factor occupies less space. Their simple frame consisting of just a board, a pole with handlebars and small wheels makes storage a breeze when compared to even the most foldable of e-bikes.

Being able to transport electric scooters anywhere means that you can also store them indoors. This is a particular advantage of personally owned e-scooters which removes the need for you to worry about vandalism or them being stolen, something bike owners always need to keep at the forefront of their minds.
